Aleksandër Gjoka is a famous rockstar who came to prominence in the 1990s in Albania, and is still active. In 2020, when the government of Edi Rama imposed lockdown measures during Covid, Gjoka became viral as he posted a video in a drunken state, criticizing the closure of bars and insulting not only Edi Rama, but the rest of the political class. He notably said : “I believed you were a Tirone kid, but you were a fuck*** bast*rd, you were a son of a b****”. (Unë të kam besuar se je çun Tirone, po ti qenke një kokrra kurs, qenke një b.q ti. Ik ore b.q ik ore shkër të), before asking for Edi Rama to leave, and the opposition as well like Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha.
Here, the meme is self-explanatory. It tells “I thought you were a true Tirana boy… I know the rest myself”. It references this drunken disappointed and angry ranting against Edi Rama, but also against the rest of the current political class.
